Cathy Wright
Cathy Wright Director

Cathy is the Director of the UWG Newnan Campus. She is a native and lifelong resident of Newnan and Coweta County, a long time educator who earned B.S. Ed., M. Ed., and Ed. S. degrees from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton. She taught elementary school in Coweta County for 16 years and then directed for 17 years the Shenandoah Georgia Youth Science & Technology Center (GYSTC), working with teachers and students in science and math. She enjoys singing in several groups and playing bass in a family band. She is married to Lamar Wright, also a native of Newnan and a UWG graduate. They have two sons, Adam (musician) and Brian (airline pilot). Both sons are married and live in Nashville, TN. One granddaughter, Carli, is two years old.

Dennis Gould
Dennis Gould Technology Support Specialist

Dennis is the Instructional Technology Support Specialist, which includes network administration and technology project management, for the Newnan Campus. His responsibilities include supporting and troubleshooting the hardware and software operations of the staff, faculty and students at the Newnan Campus. Other duties include administration and security of a Windows network, exchange mail server, contacting OEM vendors for support and service, moving or storing equipment, and recommending purchases of new equipment and software. He is also held responsible for anything that may be talked into, listened to, turned on, plugged in, or flushed. Dennis is a 1998 graduate of UWG and lives near Carrollton with his wife.

Teri Lewis
Teri Lewis Administrative Assistant

Teri has worked for the UWG Newnan Campus since 1990. She is a graduate of Brookhaven College, Dallas, TX, with an A.A.S. Applied Computer Science & A.A. in Design. Teri is the office manager at the Newnan Campus; and her duties include budget coordination, website maintenance, and secretarial assistance to the director. She and husband of 25 years, Edward, have a daughter who is now a freshman at UWG. Teri also teaches fine arts to young children through the Coweta County Recreation Department under the leadership of Bette Hickman. She enjoys volunteering for The Community Welcome House in Newnan, a shelter for battered women and children.

Helen Brouillette
Helen Brouillette Receptionist/Test Proctor

Helen is a ten-year veteran with the University of West Georgia, who has spent the last five years at the Newnan Campus. She serves as the Center’s test proctoring coordinator and is responsible for the front desk in the administrative area. Helen is a graduate of Gray’s Business College, Portland, Maine. She is fluent in French and has worked on the main campus, Foreign Language Dept., and the Canadian Consulate in Atlanta, as bi-lingual secretary. Helen is married to retired military husband Ron and has lived in the Newnan area for over 20 years. She is mother to 2 daughters, Monelle (elementary school teacher, Coweta County), Michelle (environmental planner in Atlanta) and grandmother to granddaughter Aerin, age 11, and grandson Jamie, age 2. Her interests include photography and gourmet cooking!

Javarus Boyce
Javarus Boyce Technology Specialist

Javarus is a Technology Specialist for the Newnan Campus. His responsibilities include assisting faculty and students with the operation of IT equipment and programs in classrooms, performing software/hardware upgrades and updates on computers and servers, and performing physical installation of IT equipment. He also assists with facility maintenance. Javarus is available during afternoon and evening hours to provide IT systems support for faculty, students, and contract users. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of West Georgia, with a B.B.A in Business Information Systems.
